Planning and construction of a “core” facility will begin when $8 million in gifts and pledges are raised.

When completed, the conference center will have a chapel, kitchen and dining facilities, living room, library, classroom and overnight accommodations.

The Cedar Lake Shrine and future Retreat and Education Center offers men and women, boys and girls a place to rest, pray, and grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • Cedar Lake provides a space to leave everyday life behind in order to be immersed in an environment that encourage spiritual renewal and growth in a relaxed setting.

  • Located on about 40 acres in St. Charles County, the property serves a growing area of the Archdiocese of St. Louis and beyond.

  • The Shrine and future Retreat and Education Center provides a warm and comfortable setting that allows visitors a space to be removed from daily distractions, to focus on prayer.

In addition, to their own activities, the Cedar Lake Foundation desires to make the property available for programs of the Archdiocese of St. Louis and other groups who are faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church. As a not-for-profit endeavor, the building will offer an affordable option for formation activities such as retreats, spiritual conferences and educational presentations.

"The center will help men and women grow in their spiritual and human formation, encouraging them to share the Gospel with their friends, family, and colleagues."
